On October 10, Mercedes-Benz Trucks will celebrate the world premiere of the battery-electric eActros 600 for long-distance haulage. The manufacturer has now provided a first taste of the series-production truck with a newly released image.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has successfully completed summer testing of the battery-electric eActros 600 for long-distance haulage. For around five weeks, test engineers put the electric truck through its paces at high temperatures of up to 44 degrees Celsius in Andalusia in southern Spain.

DB Schenker plans to acquire 100 Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul for European long-distance haulage operations. DB Schenker and Mercedes-Benz Trucks have signed a joint letter of intent for this purpose. The use of the battery-electric eActros LongHaul is intended to contribute to achieving CO2 neutrality on DB Schenker's balance sheet by 2040.

Tevex Logistics, the logistics subsidiary of the Tönnies Group, intends to use the eActros LongHaul battery-powered long-distance truck for the delivery of foodstuffs in the future. During an official customer visit to Daimler Truck headquarters, Stina Fagerman, Head of Marketing, Sales and Services at Mercedes-Benz Trucks, as well as Clemens Tönnies, Managing Partner of the Tönnies Group and Dirk Mutlak, Managing Director at Tevex Logistics, signed a joint Letter of Intent for the order of 50 Mercedes-Benz electric semitrailer tractors.

The logistics service provider Dachser is planning to add 50 units of Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul, presented at this year’s IAA Transportation, to its European fleet. The global company from Kempten has signed a Letter of Intent with Mercedes-Benz Trucks to this end.

At this year's IAA Transportation, logistics company Hegelmann Group, which operates in Europe, and Mercedes-Benz Trucks signed a Letter of Intent for the order of 50 eActros LongHaul. The vehicles are to be delivered to the family-owned company from Bruchsal, Germany with the start of series production in 2024.

For the important long-haul segment the eActros LongHaul, with a range of around 500 kilometers on one battery charge, is scheduled to be ready for series production in 2024.
