In fact, logistics on the construction site with uneven terrain, narrow access roads, little space for maneuvering and the transport of heavy equipment and materials all place high demands on the commercial vehicles used.
  • Stuttgart / Arlberg Pass, Austria, Oct 20, 2022 - As part of a series of tests the eActros 300 as a tractor unit, which recently premiered at the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover, successfully crossed the Arlberg Pass in Austria. For this test engineers from Mercedes-Benz Trucks fully loaded the semitrailer to 40 tons. The tests in Tyrol covered a total distance of 111 kilometers, including Bludenz, Stuben, St. Anton and Lech, at times at an elevation of more than 1,800 meters.

The vehicles are to be delivered to the family-owned company from Bruchsal, Germany with the start of series production in 2024.

At the IAA Transportation 2022, Daimler Truck will be offering selected visitors a ride-along in one of its fuel-cell trucks.

Since last year, a Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck fuel-cell prototype has been undergoing intensive testing – both on the in-house test track and on public roads. Daimler Truck is now putting another prototype into operation to test the use of liquid hydrogen.   • Leinfelden-Echterdingen, May 31, 2022 - Daimler Truck’s Asian subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC; “FUSO”) celebrates the 90th anniversary of the FUSO brand. The origin of the iconic FUSO name dates back to May 1932, when Mitsubishi's first bus, the "B46 type shared car", manufactured at the Kobe Shipyard of the former Mitsubishi Shipbuilding, was branded FUSO.
