Presenting innovative services for buses’ fleets is one of Daimler Buses’ goal, with its brands OMNIplus and OMNIplus ON in FIAA. We refer in special to the new OMNIplus ON service Uptime pro, and eServices for fleets with electric vehicles.

OMNIplus ON Uptime pro for a better availability of your vehicles 

Only a bus that operates smoothly at all times without faults can optimally fulfill its passenger transport duties. With its Uptime service, OMNIplus introduced a revolution in 2017. The OMNIplus ON Uptime pro service is a progress toward the ideal running of the vehicles. OMNIplus On Uptime pro uses state-of-the-art telemetry technologies to process system-specific vehicle data and is optimally tailored to large fleets with their own workshops and their needs.

OMNIplus ON Uptime pro provides updated diagnosis data that without having to connect physically the bus to the diagnosis devise, as well as all the relevant messages on the cockpit’s screen. Thanks to a predictive analysis in real time, the operators receive recommendations of how to act before a possible malfunction, allowing them to act in a preventive way and prevent shutdowns and unnecessary costs. With OMNIplus ON Uptime pro, the operator has a complete and constant visibility of the state of its bus fleet, in order to control in a proactive way the management of the repairs and the maintenance.

The new OMNIplus ON Uptime pro service is available since September of this year; the reservations can be made online in the On Commerce. More advanced functions will be added. The OMNIplus ON experts will be available all through FIAA giving information about this and many more services.

OMNIplus ON gives answers to all the changes that electro mobility presents. eServices for the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro

With the arrival of electric vehicles, both the propulsion system and the associated services transform. eServices are designed specifically for electro mobility, and they complement it with digital solutions. The continuous monitoring of all electric vehicles in real time also includes timely warnings when the battery’s state of charge drops – so that, for example, unforeseen traffic problems or diversions don't lead to a breakdown due to low charge levels.

The result are the new Daimler Buses eServices. These include the interconnection of the vehicle and the continuous tracking of the individual vehicle and the fleet, in a system that guarantees that operations can be developed without any issues and in a profitable way.

OMNIplus ON Monitor, the digital service to monitor and optimize the consumption values, more developed than ever

OMNIplus ON Monitor shows tendencies and optimization potential with even more detail. Apart from diagrams of consumption values per vehicle and route, it also differentiates if the power was used for the propulsion or for the climate control of the vehicle. It facilitates the comparison of the vehicles amongst them and, if necessary, apply adequate measures in order to reduce energy’s consumption.

Transport companies can integrate the vehicle’s data that are relevant for them in their systems through an interface. Simple and without requirement of additional hardware.
