Leinfelden-Echterdingen - Daimler Truck Financial Services has started business in Türkiye on October 1, 2022. The company is now active in 13 countries worldwide. Spain and Germany are planned to begin later this year. The launch in France is expected for 2023. Daimler Truck Financial Services has started as a new company in December 2021.

In Türkiye, Mercedes-Benz Kamyon Finansman, which is a subsidiary of Daimler Truck Financial Services, is taking over the financing and insurance business for trucks and buses of Daimler Truck AG. They will also support customers on their way to electrical and sustainable transportation with appropriate service solutions. The team in Türkiye is led by Managing Director Gökmen Onbulak and shares its headquarters in Istanbul with Mercedes-Benz Türkiye. “I am delighted that we are fully integrated with our colleagues in the truck and bus business and can offer our customers everything they need,” says Onbulak.

Daimler Truck Financial Services is a segment of the Daimler Truck Group. In the second quarter of 2022, the financial service provider increased new business to € 2.5 billion (Q2 2021: € 1.5 billion). The contract volume grew by 27 percent to € 20.9 billion (Q2 2021: € 16.5 billion). Adjusted for special effects, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased slightly to € 71 million (Q2 2021: € 69 million).

In addition to expansion into new markets, Daimler Truck Financial Services has growth opportunities through financial products and services that expand its core business of financing, leasing and insurance. The transformation of the transportation industry offers potential for services around charging batteries, the financing of electrical infrastructure or battery leasing. Daimler Truck Financial Services expects further business opportunities in fleet management, with new services emerging from connectivity, with digital payment systems (mobile payment) as well as with flexible, usage-based “pay-as-you-drive” offers such as “Dynamic Lease”, which is already on the market in the USA and Japan. “Dynamic Insurance” will be launched in the first pilot phase in the USA.
